Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) has been published by Government of India as per Section 14(p) of Energy Conservation Act,2001 (EC Act, 2001). Section 15(a) of the EC Act, provides the State government to notify the ECBC. ECBC is a technical code specifying design stage intervention for commercial buildings, with the goal to make the building energy efficient.
For proper and successful implementation of Chhattisgarh Energy Conservation Building Code (CGECBC) in the state, training programmes are being conducting for professionals involved in building design, construction and verification on ECBC. ECBC compliance verification is key to the implementation of the Energy Conservation Building Code in the State. Hence those who are well trained can be involved in ECBC compliance.
To achieve the objective of capacity building among-st professionals, CREDA with the support of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Minsitry of Power, Government of India, is organizing series of capacity building programs for the practicing engineers and architects in building sector of State. We have already organized various workshop extensively on ECBC. As an extension to those programmes, we are organizing workshop extensively for Simulation Training on eQuest software on 8th and 9th of MAY in association with NIT Raipur at Conference Hall, National Institute of Technology, GE Road, Raipur. eQuest is an freeware software, which simulates the building to comply with ECBC.
There is no participation fee for the training programme. The participation for the program is limited and will be selected on first come first serve basis.
